Our history
My name is Thomas Cothrun, I was born and raised in a small ranch town in northern Arizona, with nothing much more than cows and trains. In 2005, at 17, I moved to Flagstaff, AZ, to start college in the forestry program at NAU and subsequently, working summer fire seasons with the US Forest service on a local fuels and fire crew. for the next 8 fire seasons I worked with hotshot crews, engines, heavy equipment and aircraft including heavy tankers, single engine tankers, and a variety of helicopters. in the spring of 2007 I began working part time as a shop manager in the engineering programs machine shop. this seemed like a good fit since I had always liked machinery and had a fairly natural aptitude for the work and the environment. After my graduation in 2013 from Northern Arizona University with forestry degrees including certificates in forest health and fire ecology, I took a job as a part time gunsmith for Reeder Custom Guns and the pistol parlor, while still working year round for the university. I worked there for going on 7 years and now I have opened my own shop in northern Arizona, in hopes of providing services to my local community as well as producing and selling sales of products online.
